Grammy Winning Country Music Star, Pam Tillis, Performing at CFCC’s Wilson Center on October 14th

The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is delighted to announce that Pam Tillis will perform on October 14, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. With 13 top-ten hits, 6 number-one chart toppers, and over 7 million albums sold, Pam Tillis has made her mark on the music industry. In the third decade of her career, Pam Tillis’ star continues to shine brightly on her current tour.

Tillis is a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry, three-time County Music Award winner, 2022 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Nominee, and daughter of country music legend Mel Tillis. She has always insisted on writing songs that speak from the soul. The result has been music that emanates an almost painful beauty.

Tillis will perform top hits, including “Mi Vida Loca,” “Shake the Sugar Tree,” and her signature song, “Maybe it was Memphis,” as well as new music showcasing her own unique space as an entertainer.

“An expressive vocal performance that ranges from a Dylanesque tumble of words to the gritty gospel soul of Mavis Staples,” says John Freeman of Rolling Stone.

“There is a feeling of some serious mojo mania in how she approaches these songs,” states Bill Bently, of the Austin Sun.

Tickets will be available online to Wilson Center members beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, with tickets going on sale to the general public on Thursday, March 30, at 10:00 a.m. Tickets may be purchased online at WilsonCenterTickets.com or by contacting the Ticket Central box office. Ticket central is open for sales by telephone or in-person Monday through Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Ticket Central can be reached by phone at (910) 362-7999.
