Intern Spotlight: Bailey Cantrell

Bailey Cantrell headshot

Bailey is currently a senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. Throughout her time at UNCW, she has been fortunate enough to serve as a Peer Mentor for first year students, lead as an Orientation Leader, and also become the Community and Social Coordinator officer for the Human Resource Association on campus. As far as other jobs, she has worked as a Desk Receptionist in residential areas on campus for a total of three years.

As the Ticket Central Intern, she works closely with our Director of Ticketing as well as the Ticket Central Coordinator to brainstorm ideas to create informal post for the website on ticket processing, assist with socially-distant events, create flow charts to describe processes, and research other venues and what entertainment they are providing during the pandemic.

“So far, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Wilson Center during this internship. The internship has offered me work experience that I can use for my future career in a fun, alternative way. The internship has also challenged me to learn new processes and use different creative platforms that will help contribute to my skills and experience. The Wilson Center staff has been amazing at welcoming new interns and are always excited when new people get to join their organization.”
