The Wilson Center and The Arts Council of Wilmington & NHC created this series to support our local area artists impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Arts Council accepted donations on a weekly basis, then distributed those funds to artists featured in the series that week.
The series included nightly performances of local and regional artists that were aired live on our website and social media. The performances were then re-broadcast by WHQR the following evening. To browse all 43 performances, checkout our archive below or visit our YouTube page.
Ghostlight: A Ghostlight is a light that is left lit on the stage of a theatre when the theatre is unoccupied and would otherwise be completely dark. Some superstitions say that the Ghostlight allows each theatre’s ghost(s) to perform on stage, while others say it is to frighten away the ghosts.
