Swiss Theater Troupe Mummenschanz To Bring Their Unique Style to Wilson Center This Fall!

The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College is pleased to announce that internationally acclaimed theatre troupe Mummenschanz will be bringing their unique performance style to the Wilson Center. This unique theater troupe will take the Wilson Center stage on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for this one-of-a-kind theatrical experience will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Tickets will be available online beginning at 10 a.m.; in-person or telephone purchases will begin at 2 p.m. Wilson Center Members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance.

Please note that this is anticipated to be a full-capacity event, and will adhere to all local and state guidelines at the time of the show. Tickets may be purchased online at  www.WilsonCenterTickets.com, or by contacting the Ticket Central box office. Ticket Central is open for telephone and in-person sales from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. About Mummenschanz

Mummenschanz has enchanted audiences worldwide with its poetic non-verbal performances for half a century. The company was founded in Paris in 1972 by Bernie SchürchAndres Bossard and FlorianaFrassetto. Today, Frassetto serves as the company’s artistic director and the group consists of seven performers who appear on stage in different combinations. On stage, Mummenschanz is made up of FlorianaFrassettoChrista BarrettKevin BlaserTess BurlaDavid LaBancaSarah Lerch, and Oliver Pflug. They are supported backstage by Eric Sauge and Marc Reinhardt.

In addition to dazzling audiences internationally throughout its five decades, the troupe performed for three years on Broadway, and has appeared in numerous media – including music videos and television. They appeared on “The Muppet Show,” “Sesame Street,” “3-2-1 Contact,” and “Northern Exposure.” In honor of their 50 years of contribution to arts and culture, Swiss Post recently released a special Mummenschanz stamp, which celebrates two of the groups most iconic characters. Mummenschanz is one of the few Swiss artists or groups to have been  so honored.
