Chris Janson’s Instagram bio reads, “Singer, Songwriter, Entertainer, Conservationist, Bass Pro Ambassador, Husband, and Father.” There are few better ways to summarize the country musician than through his own words. Janson is also an award-wining artist, a collaborative musician, and someone charting the course for what makes country music truly twang.
He’s topped charts with songs like “Fix A Drink,” “Good Vibes,” and four-time Platinum “Buy Me A Boat.” His hit song “Drunk Girl,” a ballad about showing respect to women, was nominated for Country Music Award’s (CMA) Song of the Year in 2018 and won the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM) Video of the Year. Both “Buy Me a Boat” and “Drunk Girl” were named to the Nashville Songwriters Association International’s prestigious list “Songs I Wish I Wish I’d Written.” He’s also a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry. It’s true, Janson is a jack of all trades.
He’s also a big believer in live performances, connecting with his fans, and cultivating an outdoor lifestyle. Over the last decade, Janson has built his build his brand as the harmonica-forward, multi-instrumentalist, go-to guy for young country music, making it clear why Rolling Stone called him “a living legacy in the making.”
