The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is pleased to announce the eighth annual Benny Hill Quartet Fundraising Concert to support CFCC’s Music Program. Join us on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. for a night of stellar music.
This beloved CFCC concert tradition will feature the music of saxophonist Kenny Garrett as well as popular jazz standards. This year, the Benny Hill Quartet will celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of their first recording, which was influenced by the energetic blues-based music of Garrett. All proceeds from the benefit concert go towards the CFCC’s Music Program, financial support for students, and purchasing of student instruments.
The Benny Hill Quarter is led by CFCC’s Benny Hill on saxophone, Brad Merritt on piano, Israel Bannerman on drums, and Doug Irving on bass. In addition to leading the incredible quartet, Benny Hill is also a member of the CFCC Music faculty and a widely celebrated professional musician. For the past twenty years, he has performed in a diverse set of musical groups, ranging from orchestra pits and cruise ships, to touring as a featured artist and soloist at numerous venues across the country and abroad.
This is a FREE event with donations encouraged to support CFCC’s Music Program. CFCC’s Wilson Center will offer cabaret seating with a dessert and drink service in the pit, available for $75. Parterre seating will be available for $50 and will include drink service. All funds from ticketing will be donated to CFCC Music.
Tickets may be reserved online; or by contacting the box office at 910.362.7999 from 2pm to 6pm, Monday through Friday. In-person sales are also available at the box office during that same time. Questions may be directed to tickets@wilsoncentertickets.com.
