Digging David Spade at CFCC’s Wilson Center

David Spade - The Joe Dirt Country Bus Tour

David Spade was already a household name based on his time as a fan-favorite on Saturday Night Live in the 90s when his film Joe Dirt was released in 2011. The film wasn’t a huge hit with the critics, but it found its audience, which still loves it, and was followed by the release of Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser in 2015.

In May 2024 David Spade is launching a new North American comedy tour, Catch Me Inside, which will kick off in Orlando’s Steinmetz Hall before wrapping up in September 2024 at The Venetian in Las Vegas. Embedded within that larger tour will be a smaller Joe Dirt Country Bus Tour!, which will make only five stops, three of which are in North Carolina.

The tour will give David Spade an opportunity to bring Joe Dirt to stage. Related merchandise is already on sale on the official website allowing fans to sport a hat asking “Is This Where You Wanna Be When Jesus Comes Back?” or a shirt that quips “Luckily, my neck broke my fall.”

For more of David Spade’s trademark wry humor and observations fans can tune in to his weekly podcast with longtime friend Dana Carvey. The comic duo, along with guests such as Christina Applegate, Sharon Stone, and Michael Keaton, to name just a few recent co-hosts, invite audiences to “be a ‘Fly on the Wall’ as the guys and their guests share stories, tell jokes, do characters and and talk SNL lore –there’s something for everyone.” David Spade, as his persona Joe Dirt, will be on stage at Cape Fear Community College’s Wilson Center on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 8:000pm (doors open at 6:30pm) as a part of the Joe Dirt Country Bus Tour! Tickets are on sale now, so go get you some and Keep on Moppin’ in the Free World.
