CFCC’s Wilson Center Celebrating the Return of RAIN – A Tribute To The Beatles

Rain A Tribute to the Beatles

The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College today announced that RAIN – A Tribute to the Beatles will return to the Center on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. for an electrifying concert experience that celebrates the timeless music of the legendary fab four with note-for-note precision.

RAIN began in the mid 1970s in California when keyboardist Mark Lewis joined forces with four other musicians based on their mutual love for the music of The Beatles. The band was originally called Reign, and before long they had built up a devoted following in and around Los Angeles. Their first big break came when Dick Clark hired them in 1979 to record the music for the made-for-tv-movie Birth of the Beatles.

Today, RAIN has a repertoire of over 200 songs, and have been together longer than The Beatles. They have mastered every song, gesture, and nuance of the legendary foursome, to deliver a totally live performance that is as infectious as it is transporting. Their intention has always been to not just cover Beatles songs, but to do songs that The Beatles had never performed in concert, and with a hyper-focus on the details. All the music is live, with no pre-recorded tapes or sequences. As a result, RAIN has been described as “the next best thing to seeing The Beatles!” (Associated Press).

From energetic classics to reflective favorites, RAIN delivers an unforgettable performance that appeals to fans old and new. With vibrant costumes, psychedelic visuals, and flawless detail, RAIN creates a stunning concert experience full of nostalgia and good vibes. The mind-blowing live performance takes audiences on a high-definition journey back in time to the 60’s, when “Peace and Love” was everyone’s mantra.
