The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College is lifting the anchor on the eight shows in the 2024-2025 PNC Broadway and the Beach season. Musicals, a play, lots of laughs, and plenty of memorable moments — the 8 shows in this year’s series has something for everyone: Hadestown, Ain’t Too Proud, Dear Evan Hansen, The Addams Family, The Book of Mormon, Clue, and Mystic Pizza.
The first opportunity for the public to buy tickets will be during Community Day on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10:00am – 2:00pm at the Wilson Center. Attendees will be able to secure tickets ahead of online sales, tour the facilities, have a chance to win various giveaways, and buy a limited quantity of $25 tickets for each performance.
Online ticket sales for the general public start on May 6 at 10:00 a.m., with new shows becoming available each day until the full series is released on May 16. Each performance has a designated on-sale day. Buying tickets for three or more shows will result in a 10% discount. Wilson Center Members can purchase tickets for any show online now at WilsonCenterTickets.com.

Ticket Central is open for telephone and in-person sales from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday only. Tina
Tickets on sale: Monday, May 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

Hadestown
Tickets on sale: Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
Broadway’s Tony and Grammy-winning best musical. Tells the intertwining love stories of two couples from the Greek Myths: the young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and King Hades and Persephone. Hadestown asks us all to imagine how the world could be, and invites audiences on an unforgettable journey to the underworld and back.
The Addams Family
Tickets on sale: Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
The Addams Family is a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family. It features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
Dear Evan Hansen

The winner of 6 Tony Awards, the Grammy Award, and the Olivier Award for Best Musical, Dear Evan Hansen is the deeply personal and profoundly contemporary musical about life and the way we live it. A brilliant commentary on teen mental health and the dangers of social media, a darkly humorous take on a loveably relatable family in crisis, and a “breathtaking knockout of a musical,” according to the New York Times.
The Book of Mormon
Tickets on sale: Monday, May 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
God’s favorite musical! The Book of Mormon is musical theater that tells the story of a pair of mismatched Mormon missionaries, one serious and dedicated and the other socially awkward yet well-meaning, who are sent to Uganda to convert citizens to the Mormon religion. Now on Broadway for its 13th year, The Book of Mormon has won nine Tony Awards and has toured in 40 US states, six Canadian provinces, and 134 cities across the globe.
Clue
Tickets On Sale: Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
Clue is a hilarious new play based on the cult 1985 Paramount movie and inspired by the classic Hasbro game. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is purely entertaining, fast-paced slapstick comedy that leaves both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches.
Ain’t Too Proud

Electrifying new musical about The Temptations’ extraordinary journey from the streets of Detroit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame: how they met, the groundbreaking heights they hit, and how personal and political conflicts threatened to tear the group apart as the United States fell into civil unrest. Mystic Pizza
Tickets On Sale: Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
Based on the 1988 movie of the same name, which starred Julia Roberts in her breakout role. Mystic Pizzafollows the coming of age of three young women working as waitresses at a local pizza parlor in Mystic, Connecticut. Struggling within a local class structure that segregates the immigrant working class from the country club set, the women strive to define themselves beyond the shadow of their families and the men who pursue them. And what’s in that secret sauce, you ask? The hits of the 80s and 90s! From “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” to “Hold On” to “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now,” come prepared to be smitten by this slice of life musical.
