The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College is excited to announce that Brit Floyd will return to the Center on August 13, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. Brit Floyd is the world’s greatest live Pink Floyd experience. This show is anticipated to be even bigger and better than before, and features new animation, lasers, and a dazzling light show.
Ground-breaking and iconic, the musical masterpiece The Dark Side Of The Moon is 50 years old this year. In celebration, Brit Floyd is returning to the stage to celebrate with a brand-new production. The show’s over two and a half hour set list will feature classic tracks from the album such as “Time,” “Money,” “Us and Them,” and “The Great Gig in the Sky.”
Note for note renditions of other highlights from Pink Floyd’s magnificent discography will include tracks from The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Division Bell, Medal and much more.
Brit Floyd was launched in Liverpool, England in January 2011. Since then they have performed over 1,000 sold-out shows across Europe, North America, South America and the Middle East. In addition, they’ve played at some of the world’s greatest venues, including London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall, the awe-inspiring Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, the historic Greek Theater in Los Angeles, and NYC’s exemplary Radio City Music Hall.
The Brit Floyd show has become a phenomenon, and is widely regarded as the world’s greatest rock tribute show. The band is familiar to a worldwide audience, and features guitarist/ vocalist and musical director Damian Darlington, as well as Ian Cattell, Edo Scordo, Eva Avila, and other expert musicians. Brit Floyd faithfully recreates the scale and pomp of the final 1994 Pink Floyd tour, complete with a stunning light show, iconic circular screen, lasers, inflatables, and theatrics. Audiences at the Wilson Center will be treated to an evening they will never forget.
Tickets will be available online to Wilson Center Members beginning Wednesday, 10 a.m. on May 17, 2023, with tickets going on sale to the general public Friday, May 19, 2023, at 10 a.m. Tickets may be purchased online at WilsonCenterTickets.com or by contacting the Ticket Central box office.
