CFCC’s Wilson Center Debuts the Family Series: Phenomenal, Affordable, and Fun for All!

Cape Fear Community College (CFCC)’s Wilson Center is thrilled to announce the debut season of the Family Series! This stellar six-show season includes a wide-variety of interactive musical experiences, an acrobatic performance, and a mystical display of magic. Oh my!

As a local, independent theater, we’re committed to bringing high-quality family-friendly entertainment at a reasonable cost to our community members. Thanks to the newest grant program Hello Arts, the Family Series offers $15 student tickets for students of ALL AGES and can be applied to ANY seat in the house.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse in Concert

Wednesday, September 18 at 7:00 p.m.

Experience Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse in Concert like never before with the Oscar®-winning animated film on a colossal HD screen, while a full orchestra, skilled scratch DJ, percussion, and electronic instrumentalists perform the innovative soundtrack live.

Encanto Sing Along

Friday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m.

Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert is an immersive experience into the beloved animated film and all the Academy Award®-winning songs, performed by the live band, Banda de la Casita. Audiences are encouraged to dress up and sing along to iconic hits like “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” and “Surface Pressure.”

Omnium Circus

Friday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m.

Omnium Circus is a world renowned comprehensive, inclusive, and accessible circus company that brings excitement, thrills, and joy through the art of circus. By celebrating diversity and enriching empathy, this show pioneers an accessible circus experience that is fun for the whole family!

STOMP

Saturday, November 2 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

STOMP, the international percussion sensation creates a unique combination of percussion, movement and visual comedy, through innovative contemporary rhythmic expression. Both household and industrial objects find new life as musical instruments in the hands of an idiosyncratic band of body percussionists.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical

Saturday, November 16 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Through nostalgic set design, projection, puppets, and beloved characters, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical recreates the magic of the original 1964 stop-motion classic. Join Rudolph and the holly jolly cast of iconic characters including Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius, and the Abominable Snow Monster to help Santa save Christmas.

Champions of Magic

Friday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 8 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Fusing their skills in grand scale magic, a flair for spectacle and undeniable showmanship, Champions of Magic are sure to entertain the entire family. Combining their signature humor with groundbreaking magic, the world’s only team of illusionists present a production of thrilling, mind-bending acts.

Tickets will be available online to Wilson Center Members beginning Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10 a.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10 a.m. Tickets may be purchased at WilsonCenterTickets.com; or by contacting the box office at 910.362.7999 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
