The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College is pleased to announce the launch of its brand new website! As a part of the milestone 5th anniversary celebration kicking off next month, we’ve unveiled a new look to our website – www.WilsonCenterTickets.com.
The sleek new site design improves the user experience, making it more responsive and easy to use on mobile devices, while maintaining full functionality. The updated site also takes full advantage of the features of the venue’s ticketing platform, which is powered by Spektrix. These features improve not only the online ticket-buying experience, but multiple features behind the scenes as well.
“As we approach our fifth birthday, it seemed the perfect time to launch our new website,” said Shane Fernando, Vice President of Advancement and the Arts at CFCC. Fernando has overseen operations at the Wilson Center since prior to its opening, serving as Executive and Artistic Director until his recent promotion. “It has been truly amazing to see how far we have come with the infrastructure that has been in place since Day One. Our website has grown with us over the years, but now we have the opportunity to move forward into our next phase with a website that makes ticket buying even easier for our guests.”
The new site boasts a cleaner, modern look and feel, and navigation has been improved – similar in many ways to the recent changes to the College’s main website ( www.cfcc.edu ). But the unfamiliar can often be challenging to long-time users. To ease the transition, Fernando explained, he and his staff came up with an idea: “We thought about ways to encourage our users to explore the new site, and we decided to have a little contest. That way, our guests become familiar with our new look and feel, and have a bit of fun at the same time!”
The contest is rather like a scavenger hunt, with entrants following 10 clues to answers found across the site. Successful completion of the entry form, with all correct answers, puts the entrant in the running for a pair of tickets to a PNC Broadway Series performance. “People can have a bit of fun, discover more about our website – and about the Wilson Center – and also get the chance to win a pair of tickets to a wonderful show in our upcoming Broadway season,” said Fernando. “We are very excited to unveil our new look, and we hope our guests enjoy it, too!”
About the Contest
The Wilson Center Website Contest opens at noon on Friday, September 18, 2020. In order to be entered into the contest, entrants must successfully answer ten questions based on information found across the website ( www.WilsonCenterTickets.com ). The answers are submitted via an online entry form; those forms submitted with 100% correct answers will be entered into a random drawing for a pair of tickets to a PNC Broadway Series performance in the upcoming season ($150 value). Each participant may complete only one entry form, but may earn additional bonus entries via social media. For full and complete rules, or to participate in the contest, please visit www.WilsonCenterTickets.com/contests.
