“If the circus makes everyone feel like a kid again, we’re gonna make you feel like a teenager,” George Thorogood says of The Baddest Show on Earth Tour. “I consider us to be a musical high-wire act that works without a net, and we’ll be bringing all the danger, thrills, and fun that our audiences can handle. Because that’s what great rock & roll is all about.”
The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is ready to rock and roll with George Thorogood & the Destroyers live in concert on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 7:30 p.m.
This is, after all, a celebration of George Thorogood & The Destroyers’ 50th Anniversary. And in a five-decade career also fueled by 8,000+ live shows, more than 15 million albums sold, and a killer reputation that Classic Rock referred to as “a snarling embodiment of blues rock’s renegade spirit.”
Prolific career aside, George Thorogood & the Destroyers aren’t done yet. “That’s all pretty good for the first 50 years,” George Thorogood says with a laugh. “But we keep working harder, digging deeper and playing stronger. Now it’s time to go back out there and do some serious rockin’.” For George Thorogood & The Destroyers, serious rockin’ will always be what they do best. And for 2025, The Baddest Show On Earth Tour will bring the guitar-slinging, amp-blasting, roof- shaking rock party like never before.
This show is packed with a setlist of classics that include “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer,” “Get a Haircut”, and of course, “Bad to the Bone.” Heavy throwback duo Canyon Lights will perform as the opening act. Prepare for a night of legendary rock ‘n’ roll CFCC’s Wilson Center on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 7:30 p.m.
